Overview
We intend to highlight the rich collection of contemporary Russian literature at the University of Virginia.
Our goal is to present to readers, scholars and students alike modern Russian prose and poetry and to introduce many talented contemporary Russian writers and poets to the West.
The choice of Russia as the Guest of Honor at BookExpo America’s Global Market Forum in 2012 provides an opportunity to shed light on Russian contemporary literature. We intend to take advantage of the information age to show the changing publishing landscape in modern Russia and to build cultural bridges between the two countries.
