UVa to Offer New Course That Studies the Sullivan Saga

July 26th, 2012

Capturing a teachable moment, UVa professors John Alexander (SHANTI) and Walter Heinecke (Curry School of Education) will be using the recent events this summer, with the ouster and reinstatement of UVa’s President Sullivan, as an educational experience in their new course offering this fall: “Documenting UVa’s Future: Oral History of the Ouster and Reinstatement.” Students will interview people who want to share their experiences, their story, and their perspective. The course is a 300 level class in the Media Studies Department and is available to any student without any prerequisites.
